Louise Birse

I started a small bookkeeping business (Banchory Book keeping Services) in 1987 myself on a part time basis, using contacts I had made working in the Oil industry in the late 70’s and 80’s and referrals from Accountancy firms in Aberdeen. The business grew significantly to 1999 with increased staff levels, a number of additional services, and wider a range of clients. At this point we bought our current office premises and changed the name of the business from Banchory Book keeping Services to BBKS & Co. We also brought in a qualified Accountants and Tax Team to provide an expanded service to our clients and attract new business. In 2002 we were the winner in the Sir Alick Buchanan Smith – Spirit of Enterprise Award – Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland.

The original core business of Bookkeeping has now expanded to the many services we now provide to our clients as you can see from our website. I am now extremely proud to be part of a team that brings high levels of skill, knowledge and friendliness to all our clients and contribute to our ongoing Success.

Angela Hill

Position / Bookkeeper 

Angela has been a huge part of our Bookkeeping team and has gained experience and knowledge in all aspects of Accountancy using Cloud based systems. She has built up a client base where she meets client expectations and more as she ensures deadlines are met and complete accuracy and transparency are key objectives.

Joyce Fowler

Position / Payroll Support

Joyce has worked with BBKS & Co both as a Management Accountant and also in our Payroll
Department for a number of years now. Her main role becoming managing a client base of clients who she ensures meet all legislation compliance . Her ability to work in our Payroll Team with an investigative mind, the need to achieve excellence sharing experience has enhanced the service we provide.

Yvonne Thomson

Position / Operations Manager

Yvonne has worked with BBKS for over 25 years, gaining experience to a high level as a Senior
Management Accountant, then taking on the role as Operations Manager. She is responsible for the distribution, planning and ensuring all work is expedited, meeting all deadlines. Her vast experience in client facing, accounting and payroll knowledge makes Yvonne a key member of staff respected by all her colleagues and clients.

Nikki Gibb

Position / Senior Management Accountant

Nikki has worked with BBKS over the last 25 years, bringing her vast knowledge and experience of accountancy, systems, and business support to her client portfolio. Her financial reporting to our clients is always above and beyond the client expectation. Trust and confidence in her abilities has gained the respect of all our clients and her colleagues.

Lisa Moir

Position / Senior Management Accountant

Lisa joined BBKS in 2020 bringing a vast amount of knowledge and experience to enhance an already strong team. Her information sharing and professional approach to clients and her team has already brought the respect and trust with both her colleagues and client portfolio.

Marigold Findlay

Position / Payroll Supervisor

Marigold joined BBKS 5 years ago, during which time she has successfully managed our Payroll Bureau. Gaining knowledge in the changing world of Payroll to ensure all our clients comply with legislation. Her expertise ensures clients expectations are constantly met.

Karen Cousland

Position / Tax Advisor

Karen joined BBKS & Co from Deliottes where she became responsible for all our personal and private tax clients. When BBKS & Co was established in the  late 1980’s our core business was bookkeeping and payroll, but as the business grew we realised the potential to form our own Tax Department rather than pass work on to  other various Accountancy firms. From a starting position of no Tax clients in 1999, with the help of Karen , her expertise knowledge and her friendly approach that figure has grown to be in excess of 200 which is ever growing.

Graham Bonds

Position / Consultant Chartered Accountant & Chartered Tax Advisor

Graham has supported  BBKS & Co for more than 10 years to compliment and enhance our Tax Dept by becoming responsible for all the Corporate Tax clients and through his huge knowledge and expertise has been influential in the growth and success of the Tax Dept over the years, providing excellent tax advice and supporting our clients in all aspect of accountancy and tax matters.
